All About Wellness and Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
Mary Ellen Copeland’s Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) is an evidence-based wellness system for people dealing with mental health challenges. Used in recovery programs around the world, it allows peers to create a customized recovery plan. WRAP was developed by a group of individuals with lived mental health experience, so its approach is straightforward and down-to-earth. This workshop gives an overview of WRAP and its key directives, such as keeping a list of things to do every day to stay well (Daily Maintenance List), figuring out what causes symptoms to occur (Triggers), and identifying a crisis before it occurs (When Things Are Breaking Down).
Facilitator: Madonna Greer, NC PSS
Director of Recovery Initiatives, Mental Health Association in Greensboro
