The initiative, an Association tradition since 1960, helps meet the needs of individuals living with mental health conditions. Last year, the Mental Health Association assisted 462 individuals, including residents of the Moses Cone Behavioral Health Center, John Umstead Psychiatric Hospital, and several local group homes. To brighten someone's holiday season, the Association is accepting donations, volunteers, and individual sponsorships of those in need. For more information, please contact Rhonda Outlaw, Mental Health Association special programs coordinator, at 336.373.1402 or routlaw@mhag.org. The Mental Health Association is a not-for-profit organization that works to maximize the mental wellness of individuals, families, and communities through education, support services, and advocacy.
