Mental Health Parity Law Takes Effect
On July 1, 2008, this legislation went into effect, requiring certain insurers to provide coverage for bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, paranoid, or other psychotic disorders, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder, anorexia nervosa, and bulimia.
