MHAG featured on WFMY

We appreciate WFMY News 2 taking a moment to shine a light on suicide and suicide prevention in this segment, featuring our very own executive director, Donna Shelton. There are resources available for those thinking of suicide, or for those worried about a loved one who might be. One of the most critical resources for both sides of this situation is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline ‘1-800-273-TALK (8255)’ – call this number to be connected with a local crisis worker who will listen and help. Another great resource is QPR Suicide Prevention Training – this international training program gives people the skills to respond to and support a person in crisis. MHAG offers QPR trainings on demand. But one of the most valuable resources is your voice – don’t be afraid to to talk about suicide, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you or someone you care about is thinking about suicide.
