Lefty For Life Golf Tournament

The Lefty For Life CBG Memorial Tournament was borne out of the grief and sadness over the loss of a terrific person and friend Charles Bradley Gunn. A few of his closest friends came together to create an event to help in the grieving process and emotional loss of such an incredible person who touched so many of our lives. Brad, as all of his friends and acquaintances knew him, tragically took his own life after struggling with depression that has affected many of us throughout our own lives.

The first year the idea of the Lefty for Life tournament was to gather friends and acquaintances of Brad’s for a fun day of golf and to play in remembrance of him. Brad loved the game of golf. The tournament proved to be therapeutic and fun for all. Brad’s friends and family decided to take the love for their friend and strive toward a bigger goal of helping others who struggle with mental health issues. The Lefty For Life golf tournment partnered with the Mental Health Greensboro to help fund and create programs that will help those in need.

This year’s tournament will be played on October 9th at the Bryan Park Golf Course. It is our hope that you will lift up those who have lost their battle to mental health struggles and remember them, and Brad, by registering for the Lefty for Life golf tournament. It will be a day of golf that does much good for those in our community seeking the help they need.
