Mental Health Greensboro Needs Your Support!
Help us offer hope to those coping with mental illness in our community.
Mental Health Greensboro is a local grant and donor-funded nonprofit that serves to help promote mental wellness and support those in mental health recovery. Our strength comes from our community of supporters like you. Your generosity allows us to provide hope, encouragement, opportunity and much needed social support to members of our community struggling with mental illness – friends, family members, loved ones, people like you and me – peers.
Your support helps us provide a number of free services to help people manage symptoms, maintain recovery, and support each other:
- The Wellness Academy
- Our recovery classes teach a toolbox of skills and strategies to help people manage their symptoms and stay on the path of recovery.
- Peer Led Support Groups
- Our peer-led groups provide a place for people to connect over the shared experiences of mental health recovery and support each other through their journeys.
- One On One Peer Support
- Peer Support Specialists have a unique perspective on mental health recovery – their knowledge comes from direct experience. At MHG we offer regular one-on-one peer support meetings with NC Certified Peer Support Specialists, focused on setting goals, sharing strategies and encouragement.
