Cultural Humility is a relatively new model for multicultural understanding in our work with those we provide services. This workshop will explore our personal cultural identity; identify personal and societal messages (including microaggressions) that contribute to how we view culture; as well as, reflect on how race, power and privilege impact our professional relationships those we provide service. Participates will explore the benefits of approaching the professional relationship with Cultural Humility. Issues of cultural countertransference will also be explored within this workshop experience.
