In this workshop, participants will learn about the demographic overview of immigrants and refugees in Greensboro and be introduced to the social determinants of mental health framework. The facilitator will describe mental health challenges common for immigrants and refugees, describe barriers to accessing and utilizing conventional mental health services, and discuss strategies to improve mental health supports for immigrants and refugees (including group brainstorm about local/statewide resources).
