Recovery is not a step-by-step process; it involves continual growth, occasional setbacks, and learning from experience. Recovery has multiple stages, beginning with the initial stage of awareness that positive change is possible. This workshop will look at Recovery Oriented Systems of Care. It will highlight the emergence of recovery as an organizing paradigm for the addiction treatment field and outline the shift of an acute care (AC) model of intervention to a model of sustained recovery management (RM).
Facilitator: Chris Budnick, MSW, LCSW, LCAS, CCS
Addiction counselors and peer support specialists receive 1.5 NCSAPPB General Skill Building Hours for each session.
